The Catalyst
The quest was ignited by Errol's father, Mr. Clement Fernandes, an NRI from the Middle East. His search for a quality real estate investment in Bangalore led to a realization: the city lacked Gated Communities.
Fresh from MIT with an engineering accolade, Errol faced a crossroads: a lucrative job in Dubai or the uncharted waters of real estate in Bangalore. Choosing the latter, he launched Ferns Estates & Developers® with a mere capital of INR 25,000.
His driving principle was clear - no individual should settle for an apartment due to the unavailability of quality plots for villas.
'Ferns Avenue', developed in 1988, was the embodiment of Errol's vision. Occupying just one acre, it prioritized essential amenities. Its value, which began at INR 30/sqft, has magnified to INR 3,000/sqft today, marking a 100-fold appreciation over two decades.
The success of 'Ferns Avenue', located a stone's throw from the Ring Road, set the blueprint for all subsequent Ferns projects. Each venture is strategically positioned, promising both immediate and long-term growth potential.
